Terms & Conditions
This document sets forth the terms and conditions applicable to the services provided by London Pet Crematorium, a trading name of London Pet Cremations Ltd, incorporated and registered in England and Wales. It clarifies the definitions of key terms, specifies the contract's scope, delineates payment obligations, outlines policies on pet bedding and belongings, describes the methods for ash return, details the management of unclaimed ashes, confirms compliance with industry standards and guarantees, explains the product returns and refund policy, addresses data protection practices, provides information on quotations, and sets expectations for scheduled appointments and cancellations.
Interpretation
The terms below are defined as follows: Client: the pet owner, veterinary practice, or other representative ordering Services from London Pet Crematorium. Contract: the agreement for Service provision as outlined herein or otherwise mutually agreed, incorporating these terms. London: London Pet Crematorium is the operational name of London Pet Cremations Ltd, a legal entity in England and Wales.
Contract
2.1 These terms govern all Service provisions by London to the Client. A Client’s order becomes binding and a Contract is established upon London’s explicit acceptance or by initiating Service delivery. 2.2 Should any Contract detail conflict with these terms, the specific Contract provisions shall take precedence.
Payment
3.1 Service charges, inclusive of VAT where indicated, are as per the Contract; otherwise, VAT is additional. 3.2 Payment is due upon Service delivery or as specified in the Contract. 3.3 The Client bears any expenses incurred in collecting overdue payments.
Pet Bedding & Belongings Policy
Clients may opt for the cremation or disposal of blankets, toys, and collars. Carriers or baskets must be taken back by the Client; if left, London will dispose of or donate them. London assumes no responsibility or liability for any items sent with the pet intended for return post-cremation.
Return of Ashes via a Third Party
London offers two return options for pet ashes to accommodate all needs: 1. Direct hand return by London Pet Cremations, 2. Delivery by DPD carrier (Third Party). When using DPD, London's liability is limited to the carrier's standard terms. London is not liable for any loss or inconvenience due to delivery delays or failures by third-party carriers.
Scattering Ashes
London reserves the right to dispose of goods, including ashes, six months post-supply if unpaid or unclaimed, in an appropriate manner.
Code and Guarantee
7.1 London adheres to the Association of Private Pet Cemeteries and Crematoria’s Code of Practice. If Services fail to meet statutory or other specified standards, London will rectify, replace, or refund, as deemed equitable. 7.2 London ensures individual pet cremation in a sealed chamber, guaranteeing the ashes returned are exclusively those of the Client’s pet.
Product Returns & Refund Policy
For engraved or personalized items, London is not liable for errors if the provided proof was approved by the Client. Ensure accuracy in spelling and details upon booking confirmation to avoid mistakes. Customised item refunds are not available for customer errors at booking.
Data Protection
London will collect, store, and process personal data to facilitate service delivery, in strict compliance with data protection laws and our Privacy Policy, available at [insert web address].
Quotations
All quotations are valid for 30 days from issuance.
Scheduled Appointments/Cancellation
11.1 Booking an appointment allocates exclusive time in our schedule. Due to logistical challenges and potential costs, a cancellation fee of £100 applies for daytime appointments (8.30am – 5.30pm) not cancelled at least 4 hours in advance. For after-hours appointments (5.30pm – 10pm), the fee is £150. These fees are not insurance reimbursable.
